I walked by this scene few times that day without even noticing it🙈 only because I was fixated on finding a duck in the water. I’ve heard them calling several times but never saw them. Until I let my eyes go above the water🤩 Here there were, resting and preening on a broken branch that has fallen into this pond. They were so relaxed that they gave me time to get many shots and videos. Even though I didn’t get my shot that I originally came for, this scene made my trip worthwhile that day. It’s good to have a shot in mind but always be open for other opportunities. Slow down and always look around you!
