Here you will find the latest news and happenings at the Nickerson Beach, as well as guidance on where to find the most photography worthy nests. Timing is crucial. If you can visit this place only once or twice per season, I highly recommend following my updates as they will help you to plan your visit accordingly and will guide you to the right spot from the very first step you put on the beach.
In the 2019 season, I posted 50 updates and 12 maps. During the peak season, I was posting updates, on average, every other day.
Updates are provided in a blog style manner. With each update being posted separately/as a separate blog post with current photographs. Additionally, I will be posting current map showing the location of the nests worth photographing. Throughout the season 2019 I’ve posted 12 maps. New for season 2020, I will be posting GPS coordinates to help you find locations I’m describing in my updates much quicker.
In addition to the nesting birds, I will be posting information on rare birds being seen at the Nickerson Beach as well. In 2019 season, I alerted everyone to the sightings of the Black-necked Stilt, Glossy Ibises, Whistling Ducks, Whimbrel and few other uncommon birds.

Some of these locations, I’ve been visiting for years and some I just (re)discovered in the season 2019. As it often happens with nature, each season is different. Some are more productive than others.
