American Pipits at the DeKorte Park

Quick post showing an American Pipit snacking on some sort of bug.

American Pipits showed up at the DeKorte Park right after the snow storm we had in the last days of 2012 (it was nice to finally see some snow :) ). They came in a group of 3-6 different flocks. Each having at least 20 of them. It was nice to see some new birds at the park. Unfortunately, they were chased all over the park by the local raptors. I say unfortunately because due to their size they were/are easy targets...
