Macro Monday – Praying Mantis
While packing my camera and getting ready to go home, after successful birding trip to Sandy Hook last Fall, my wife spotted this Praying Mantis on the side of our car. Despite the unnatural background I decided to take couple of photographs. Here is one of them:

Quickly I’ve noticed that this mantis feels comfortable at the front of the camera and doesn’t mind a photographer making awkward poses just to get closer, I leaned against the rear tire, to stabilize my camera, and recorded this short video:
